Ground-Mounted Solar System for Agricultural Client with Irrigation Cost Challenges
The Problem
Central Valley almond grower was experiencing growing pressure from both water costs and volatile energy pricing. Watering schedules were often dictated not by crop needs but by rate windows, forcing the farm to choose between optimal irrigation and financial strain.
Our Solution
Agilitech assessed the property and identified an unused plot adjacent to the farm’s existing electrical infrastructure. We developed a fixed-tilt ground mount solar array, tailored to avoid shading from nearby trees and positioned for maximum production efficiency. The straightforward design kept costs low and allowed for rapid deployment.
The Results
The system delivers a 70% reduction in energy costs, enabling the farm to irrigate based on crop requirements rather than utility pricing.
